During the interview, Rousey commented about a possible heel run in WWE. Below is an excerpt.
“Oh I would be a heel for sure. I can’t take the name of 'Rowdy' and not be a heel, that would be an insult to the man I pay tribute to with my name - the great Rowdy Roddy Piper. I would have to try and live up to his legacy as much as possible and I can’t do that being a babyface.”Check out the complete interview at TalkSport.com. Miesha Tate Suffers Broken Orbital Bone In Decision Victory Over Sara McMann
UFC Women's Bantamweight contender Miesha Tate suffered a broken orbital bone in two places as a result of a shot from Sara McMann in their UFC 183 FS1 preliminary main event fight on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tate, the former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion and former UFC Women's Bantamweight title contender described the injury during the UFC 183 post-fight press conference, which you can watch in full by clicking here.
"I have a really bad headache right now," said Tate at the post-fight presser. "[McMann] clipped me pretty good in the first round and actually broke my orbital bone in two spots, so I can't look down and this bright light over here is not very comfortable, to say the least. She's as tough as they come, and she can pack a punch, that's for sure."
"I know it doesn't look bad," Tate said of the physical appearance of the injury, "but it feels pretty crappy."
Despite the brutal injury, Tate rallied in the second and third rounds to pull off a come-from-behind majority decision over the Olympic silver medalist.
With the victory over the number three ranked UFC Women's Bantamweight contender on Saturday night, Tate remains the number two ranked contender in the division, and with three straight wins inside the Octagon, she moves even closer to her goal, which is to secure a third fight with UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
"I suppose it depends who wins," Tate said of her chances of receiving another title shot. "If it's Ronda, obviously I think I have a little bit more work to do. If it's Cat [Zingano], I think a better argument could be made."
Tate continued, "So we'll see who wins out of those two. But I've already told everyone that I'm willing to do what it takes to get back to that. I'm not asking for it right now. I'm not asking for any handouts. I'm willing to put my nose to the grindstone. I'm willing to beat all the other top contenders until I am the only option left if that's what I have to do."

Paige VanZant On Criticism Over “We’re The Hot Girls” Comments: “We Were Born This Way”
UFC Women's Strawweight contender Paige VanZant received the "star treatment" at the UFC 183 event in Las Vegas this weekend, as she took part in an individual media scrum. During the scrum, VanZant took the time to address criticism she received over some recent comments she made about her physical appearance.
During the scrum, which you can watch in full above, VanZant addressed criticism she received over a comment she made regarding her upcoming fight with fellow UFC Women's Strawweight contender Felice Herrig.
When talking about her scheduled bout with Herrig recently, VanZant made the following comment, which made headlines within various MMA circles.
“I always had on the back of my mind that me and Felice would fight, because we’re the hot girls in the sport. So I kind of got myself ready for that.”While the comment seems harmless, many took it as a sign that VanZant was an egotistical fighter who expects big things to fall in her lap because of her looks. While anyone who saw her impressive outing against Kailin Curran at the UFC Fight Night 57 event last November knows that is not the case, VanZant addressed the haters anyways during her scrum this weekend. "You know, I think that me and [Felice Herrig] will always get perceived that way," said VanZant. "You know, I was saying that that's what other people think about us. And, you know, we were born this way, it's nothing that we can change. That just means that we both have to prove that we're the toughest people out there. I'm going to go out there and prove that I'm not just a pretty face." VanZant continued, talking about some of the issues she was forced to deal with during her childhood, and how the position she is in now puts herself in a spot to better influence those who are going through similar experiences. "It's amazing," VanZant continued, "I really want to be a voice for young girls that have also been bullied. I went through a lot growing up, and it's things that, if I talked about, you wouldn't even believe. It was a rough few years in high school, so I just want to be a voice for them and say that 'You don't have to play the victim, you can play the survivor and the fighter.'" Paige VanZant makes her next Octagon appearance fighting Felice Herrig at the UFC On FOX 15 event, which takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The number two ranked contender in the UFC Women's Bantamweight division recently posted the following photo of her face, which shows off her swollen eye as a result of suffering a broken orbital bone in two places.
The photo was accompanied by the following caption:
"Post fight selfie! No makeup no filter, I am surprised a broken orbital bone can look completely normal, it still hurts quite a bit and I can't look down without pain and blurred vision but I am in good spirits! Sara packs one hell of a punch I will say that much!! I will keep everyone updated on the healing process! Thanks for the support!!"
