Ronda Rousey has been named as the new female face of the Buffalo Pro brand, marking the first fashion campaign for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion.
"It’s such an amazing opportunity to be able to represent Buffalo Pro," Rousey said in a press release issued on Thursday. "Not only am I the first female they’ve ever had representing the campaign, but it’s the first time any MMA fighter has done any type of fashion thing at all. I feel really honored to be taking the first steps into this industry. I never had the confidence when I was younger to dress well, and avoided any type of fashion and femininity, and I’m enjoying the chance to embrace it at this point in my life."
"Rowdy" Ronda continued, "Whenever I get a fight, I obsess over it because I feel like everything I've worked for my entire life really weighs on it. I wouldn't be representing Buffalo Pro if I didn't win these fights. I feel like every single time that I get out there all of those things that I've earned along the way are on the line, and so I'm not just fighting to protect my title or a belt -- that's just a piece of metal -- I'm fighting to really legitimize every single bit of work that I've done all the way up to this point, and any loss along that way it will all be wasted in my eyes."
