While some were surprised at the incredible onslaught of negative feedback Ronda Rousey received in the midst of being knocked out and losing her title at UFC 193, new UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm feels Rousey pretty much got exactly what she asked for. Holm, who is rumored to make her first defense of the UFC Women's 135-pound title against Miesha Tate at UFC 197, spoke to Ariel Helwani on "The MMA Hour" at MMAFighting.com on Monday and explained why she wasn't that surprised at the public reaction to Rousey's first professional loss. "I think she put herself in that position. She's even said herself that if people don't like her style, she doesn't care," Holm said. "That's who she is and she doesn't claim to be anybody else. I don't have any animosity towards her, a lot of people feel like maybe I should. I just don't waste energy with stuff like that." While she may not have been confused by the reaction, "The Preacher's Daughter" admits that some of the negativity directed towards "Rowdy" Ronda in the wake of her UFC 193 nightmare in Melbourne, Australia was unwarranted, although she is quick to point out that if anyone can handle it, it's Ronda Rousey. "Some of the negativity that she's received, some of it is not necessary. People get pretty brutal about stuff. I think she's tough enough, I think she can handle it. I don't think she's ever felt something like this before. I think she is going through a really rough time," Holm said.
