https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhelhurItP4 Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey revealed in her interview with ESPN that she will not be firing her coach after losing at UFC 193 to Holly Holm. Despite what several MMA personalities and even her own mother have said, Rousey plans to keep Glendale Fighting Club’s Edmond Tarverdyan in her corner. Tarverdyan has been her coach for her entire pro career so far.
“Of course I’m staying [with Tarverdyan],” Rousey told ESPN. “That’s my mom’s opinion, not mine.”
Rousey's mother came out before UFC 193 saying she thinks Tarverdyan is a "terrible coach," a "bad person," and even went as far as to say she wants to run him down with her car.
"I will tell you this. Every time I go in his gym, he used to say, ‘How are you?’ And I’d say, ‘How the f–k do you think I am? I’m in your f–king gym and I f–king hate you!’ So now he doesn’t ask me how I am anymore," Rousey's mother explained. "Yes, [I’m referring to Edmond].. I hate him. I would run him over with my car if there wasn’t a law against it."
Rousey is expected to have a rematch with Holm sometime in 2016. Related: Joe Rogan Says Ronda Rousey’s Loss Was “Great For MMA,” Questions Her Coach
