UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm appeared as a guest on "Live With Kelly And Michael" on Monday morning and among other things, spoke about her intense pull-apart stare down with Ronda Rousey ahead of their historic UFC 193 showdown.
"The Preacher's Daughter" has yet to return to her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico since viciously ending Rousey's unbeaten streak in Melbourne, Australia, as she has embarked on a three-city media tour, making stops in Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas, where she was front-and-center for the big boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto on Saturday evening.
On Monday morning, Holm's latest media stop came in the form of an appearance on "Live With Kelly And Michael," where in addition to a segment where she demonstrated the head kick that brutally knocked out Rousey at UFC 193, she also sat down for an interview where she spoke about some of the hot topics coming out of her fight with Rousey.
The always calm and collected Holm actually managed to turn a scene that came off as very intense and somewhat violent into a funny story as she explained how her concern was not as much about Rousey as it was the special drink she was given to re-hydrate after making weight.
As Holm explained, she had a special concoction of coconut water, salt, amino acids and caffeine that she had to quickly put down when she saw an overly intense "Rowdy" Ronda headed in her direction after stepping off of the scale.
"When I saw her get off the scale, I was thinking, 'Oh, no my drink. This is like gold. Let's not spill this,'" Holm said during her appearance on the popular morning talk show, which you can watch in full above. "I didn't think she was going to get a little intense, but it was kind of fun. Get a little fired up."
