Following her devastating knockout loss to the new undefeated UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm at UFC 193 on Saturday night, previously unbeaten Ronda Rousey was transported to a nearby hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Rousey was dominated by Holm throughout the fight, taking a number of big head shots throughout the first round before being brutally knocked unconscious by Holm's signature head kick at the 0:59 mark of the second round.
A UFC representative told TMZ Sports after the fight, "Ronda is currently being transported to a local hospital for precautionary purposes."
UFC President Dana White gave a brief update to reporters during the UfC 193 post-fight press conference immediately after the event.
"She was transported, because she got knocked out, number one," White said. "Her lip was split in half. They had to sew her lip. They transported her."
"Obviously she's completely bummed out and depressed," White said. "That's it."
