During a recent media scrum, boxing's pound-for-pound king -- Floyd Mayweather -- addressed UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
Mayweather, who was on the receiving end of a brutal verbal attack from Rousey at this year's ESPY Awards, where Rousey brought up Mayweather's past with domestic abuse, had nothing but kind words for the UFC star.
"Like I said before, I don't really know too much about Ronda Rousey," said Mayweather, who referred to Rousey as a "guy" in the past. "Even before, I think they got upset because, I thought Ronda Rousey...you know, I didn't know who that was. So, whoever, whoever..."
At that point, a reporter aware of the past story simply said, "she is," pointing out that they are actually talking about a female athlete and not a "guy."
Mayweather then continued, "She is...because before, I didn't know who she was, you know?"
"I wish her nothing but the best," Mayweather said. "Good luck with everything."
